The Jewett type corset is recommended to stabilize and partially relieve the spine on the thoracolumbar region.

Indications for the use of otresis are, among others:

  • traumatic and pathological compression fractures of the spinal shafts,
  • tuberculosis of the bones of the spine,
  • neoplastic changes of the spinal bodies,
  • Bechterew-Scheuremann disease,
  • decalcification of vertebrae,
  • pain syndromes caused by deforming changes.
