COURSE FOR PARENTS

Join us for a COURSE FOR PARENTS organized by the Developmental Neuro-Motor Stimulation Institute Foundation and Manhattan-based GIGANCI Rehabilitation Center .

With knowledge of the possibilities of physiotherapy and related fields – the parent will be able to consciously participate in the process of improving their child at every stage of development.

Training Objectives:
1. to provide parents with practical knowledge of: basic manual therapy techniques, neurodevelopmental methods to promote motor development, protecting the musculoskeletal system from deformity.
2 Discuss other options for supporting the child’s development: guidelines for botulinum toxin treatment and surgery, active therapy, neurology, alternative communication.
3. presentation of equipment to support the development of a child with nervous system dysfunctions.

Benefits for course participants:
-acquiring practical knowledge of therapeutic measures that can be used at home (manual therapy, neurodevelopmental exercises for older children)
-the ability to customize equipment to support a child’s motor development
-acquiring theoretical knowledge of indications for: botulinum toxin therapy, surgical treatment (orthopedics, neurosurgery)
-Learning about supportive options: neurology, alternative communication, active therapy.

Recipients: parents of children with neurological developmental disorders (postural defects, cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes)
