The Jack PCL orthosis using a unique and patented spring mechanism neutralizes the weight of the calf and thus supports and protects the PCL while maintaining the full range of motion of the knee joint. The translation force of the lower leg is individually adapted to the patient’s structure and weight by adjusting the spring tension in both orthosis clocks. Thanks to this, the adverse effects of muscles, the force of gravity and the formation of the so-called “Gravity” are neutralized. ” back drawer “. Adjustment of spring tension can be performed only after consulting a doctor. The spring force is infinitely adjustable on a scale of 1-15 and can be switched off.
Adjustment:
The Jack PCL orthosis is available with range of motion adjustment:
Bend: 15°/25°/35°/45°/55°/65°/75°/90° Extension: 0°/15°/25°/35°/45°
Application:
The orthosis is designed exclusively for orthotic treatment of the knee joint and for contact with intact skin.
Indications:
Conservative or postoperative treatment of PCL
Usage: It is recommended to use the Jack PCL orthosis for up to 3-4 months. Before use, the patient must be informed “how and why” the orthosis works so that he is convinced of the need to wear it for 24 hours. Removing the orthosis at night or loosening it exposes the graft to the forces of gravity and will most likely lead to its stretching. For conservative treatment, it is recommended to use Jack PCL in the first 2 weeks after injury.
