The Jewett type corset is recommended to stabilize and partially relieve the spine on the thoracolumbar region.
Indications for the use of otresis are, among others:
- traumatic and pathological compression fractures of the spinal shafts,
- tuberculosis of the bones of the spine,
- neoplastic changes of the spinal bodies,
- Bechterew-Scheuremann disease,
- decalcification of vertebrae,
- pain syndromes caused by deforming changes.
