The TLSO X Panel compression vest, includes two heat-modeled panels of varying stiffness and support. Therapists can use two panels simultaneously to provide more support.
They can also apply
custom modifications, wproprietary designs to best meet patient needs.
The vest extends from the tailbone to between the shoulder blades.
Thanks to the use of panels that are modeled directly on the child’s body, it is possible to tailor the correction to our patient’s needs. Proper modeling of the panels will provide a passive change in pelvic alignment from anterior tilt or an increase in lordosis to a more normal alignment. The compression achieved by the elastic lycra will allow you to feel and remember the correction.
Changing the pelvic alignment can improve not only the sit, but also the gait pattern.
Assists:
- deep muscle action
- increase in body awareness
- balance
- coordination
- improve pelvic alignment
- general muscle weakness.
Compression orthoses are used to provide stability and postural control in children with impaired motor functions. They are also indispensable for young patients with sensory dysfunction.
Compression orthoses are designed for children with: hypotonia, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, muscular atrophy, sensory integration disorders.
