Intermediate extract of the lower limbs is used as one of the treatments for Perthes’ disease.
Perthes’ disease is also known as sterile necrosis of the femoral head. It is a disease affecting the hip joint, occurring most often in childhood.
Symptoms:
- pain in the hip joint,
- adopting the wrong posture,
- swelling of the hip area,
- excessive warming of the hip joint.
The method of application and the load on the extract should always be consulted with the attending physician.
Most often, the intermediate lift behind the lower limbs is used in a slight flexion, abduction and external rotation with a small load.
