An upsee is a type of jumpsuit, clipped to the caregiver’s waist belt with a harness. Designed to allow children with mobility disabilities to get up and move around, with the help of an adult. Allows children with special needs to experience movement in an upright position. It facilitates exercises involving lifting increasingly heavy objects and standing and walking under adult supervision. It is suitable for children aged 1 to 8 years, with a maximum weight of 25 kg.
Upsee allows the child to participate in fun and games in new, previously unavailable ways. It provides opportunities for social and emotional development, allowing children to interact at eye level with their peers. When a child is motivated to explore and move, it creates a real opportunity for long-term development, from psychosocial development to increased head control.
The Upsee kit consists of three parts: an adult hip belt, a vest/suit and common double sandals. The patented design uses durable, machine-washable and breathable fabrics.
The children’s harnesses are available in four sizes: XS for children up to 2 years (purple or green) S, M, L for children from 3 years (blue or pink). The adult lap belt comes in one standard size: 60 cm – 106 cm. The child’s vest is attached to it. Double sandals differ only in children’s sizes, the adult size is universal. The XS harness for the youngest users is combined with the smallest size of sandals. The S, M and L harnesses come with standard shoes – universal children’s shoes.
