The Pro-Flex LP Torsion prosthesis provides a high degree of ankle motion, offering a significant improvement over conventional low-profile carbon fiber feet. It includes an effective full-length toe and “inverted cone” technology, which allows for greater dorsal flexion.
The torsion module is combined with the Pro-Flex LP foot module, providing power and dynamics that often elude those with longer residual limbs. Torsion Pro-Flex LP is specifically designed to provide energy return and overall dynamics. The torsional shock unit compensates for the physiological rotation and vertical shock absorption of lost joints, providing greater comfort for the end user and less pressure on the limb.
Less strain and greater dynamics means amputees with a longer limb can enjoy greater comfort in a wide range of activities. The contoured and lightweight anatomical foot cover has an outsole with a stable grip for stability on wet or slippery surfaces, as well as a sandal toe.
Össur recommends the use of Pro-Flex LP bolting together with the Unity sleeveless vacuum suspension system. This increases the minimum weight and does not interfere with the torsional dynamics of the Pro-Flex LP.
